About Areeb Ahmed

Having spent several years in external audit, I decided to step out of my comfort zone to pursue something different yet closely related, aiming to help clients achieve their goals through my services. Currently, I’m with J. Awan & Partners, where we assist clients in reaching both short- and long-term objectives. My core responsibility is bridging the gap between regulators—such as the FSRA (ADGM)—and clients, ensuring they remain compliant, as executives often focus on business expansion and may overlook regulatory matters.With prior experience across regulations in Pakistan, KSA, and the USA, I help clients navigate UAE regulations, which are often quite similar. Drawing from my external audit background, I review every transaction from an auditor’s perspective, ensuring compliance with applicable IFRS standards.I have always been enthusiastic about tax matters, though I hadn’t had the chance to work on them extensively until now. At J. Awan, I am also helping clients stay VAT-compliant, and with the upcoming implementation of corporate tax, I will be working closely with our tax team to assess and incorporate corporate tax into client strategies. This combination of regulatory, audit, and tax expertise allows me to provide comprehensive support in maintaining compliance and avoiding potential consequences.
