I have over 20+ years working in the healthcare industry in several different modalities including radiology, orthopaedics and ophthalmology. I have been an active member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Practice Managers committee and was co-chair of this committee for 2 years. I pride myself on establishing systems and strategies to streamline processes and improve operational performance. I am passionate about the patient journey and providing patients with high quality and efficient care in a safe, friendly and professional manner as well as assisting healthcare teams to reduce administrative burdens and associated costs and freeing up resources to be able to continue to provide hands on clinical support to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes. I am excited by the opportunities to investigate and develop strategies on how technology and digital health can help bridge the gap between operational performance, patient experience and clinical workload. I have experience in project management and assisting in the design process and coordination of relocation to new purpose-built developments and also managing clinic workflow during redevelopment of existing sites.
