● Managed a small novelty store in a busy city centre location in Cardiff, 7 days a week, from open to close. Duties included Operating the till, replenishing stock, helping customers, cashing up at the end of the day, and stock reporting to main management.● Under my management the store generated a daily income average of £500 to £1,500 on a weekend rising to £2,000 per day during the busy holiday period, from selling items priced at £5, £10, and £15.

●Completed a leadership and marketing internship during Easter break for 3 weeks raising funds for a charity in the East of England and progressed to a junior manager in the summer; leading a team of 6 and signing up at least 20 donors every week while maintaining accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.● Organised one-to-one meetings with fundraisers to pinpoint their intrinsic motivations, aspirations and weekly targets and progress towards a leadership and marketing development course.● Brand development and awareness ran impacts, observation days for potential job candidates.

As a STEM ambassador (Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics) I learnt and got trained on how to inspire younger generations to consider scientific careers in future. I used my enthusiasm and commitment to studying and pursuing a career in engineering to encourage young people to enjoy STEM subjects and not be put off by the stereotype regarding these subjects. In addition, I supported and worked alongside teachers in local schools by organising workshops for pupils in year 5 to year 11 and enlightened them on the current applications of science and technology in industry or research.

● Acted as an out-of-hours point of contact, assisting the Residences Management Team in the smooth running of student residences site and the provision of pastoral care for student customers.● Duties included assisting with lockouts, and fire emergencies, being the first point of contact for university students and pointing them in the right direction.● Students in halls like to have fun, my job was to ensure that they didn’t break any rules while doing so

As a student ambassador, I worked with the International Office to actively encourage international applicants and offer holders to choose Cardiff as their preferred University option, as well as helping and supporting them with any questions or concerns they may have. As part of the Student Ambassador Telephone Team, i was in charge of making daily calls to international applicants from all over the world and a huge majority of Gulf region applicant. I took it upon myself to promote Cardiff university to prospective students and give them a student's prospective about life in university and the city itself. • Called large volumes of university international applicants• Provided an enthusiastic and professional channel of communication • Reported and provided feedback on each conversation• Carried out general administrative tasks when required.• Answered queries and concerns students may have regarding their Cardiff application.
