Following the direction of my curiosity and interests in banking, I am now Bank Director's Banking and Fintech Editor. I am responsible for coverage of how technology and digital capabilities are transforming banking, and banks themselves, to help our audience of senior-level bankers makestrategic decisions for their banks. I am also responsible for growing the readership of our FinXTech brand.

I officiate soccer games at youth, indoor, intramural and adult amateur levels. I have refereed for seven years for the state of Nebraska and have traveled the country refereeing tournaments, Olympic Development Program and Region II Youth Regionals. In 2007, I was named Female Youth Referee of the Year for Nebraska.

I write a variety of articles covering topics that affect U.S. financial institutions, from breaking news to earnings stories to in-depth data driven pieces. My work uses S&P Global's database of regulatory and financial information to inform and drive proprietary reporting for clients such as analysts, investment bankers, lawyers, consultants and bankers. I also represent S&P Global at industry and trade events, reporting on the scene and interacting with known and potential sources.I have written hundreds of stories over the last several years. Greater New York City Area

I covered business schools for Bloomberg Businessweek.In nine weeks, I wrote 16 blog posts and nine articles about various aspects of applying and attending business school.- My coverage included breaking news of a cheating scandal at NYU Stern undergrad, which was followed by six other news organizations in subsequent days.- My curation of a list of free online business school classes from top schools was called "Must-read for serious applicants."- My slideshow of top business school deans' favorite business-themed movies was the no. 1 slideshow on the bw.com homepage for several weeks.- I used more than 7,000 student survey responses to calculate the most popular business school professors. The top five professors were featured in Businessweek's Most Popular issue and the published list online was Tweeted more than 100 times and shared on Facebook more than 100 times. I discussed my findings on Bloomberg radio.- I was one of three people in charge of updating and growing followers for the new Twitter feed, @BWBschools, which was started while I was interning. When the feed passed 500 followers in less than eight weeks, my editor attributed the most of the gains to me.- My editor and assistant editor continually commended my work and said I was one of the best interns they've had, if not the best.

Lincoln, Nebraska Area

Assistant news editor and managing editor of the Daily Nebraskan, the 8,000-circulation daily student paper at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Also worked as the health/business reporter for two years with a one-year break.In my editor positions, I mentored new reporters, edited stories daily, directed breaking news coverage, oversaw the news section and production of the paper and organized promotional events.I doubled the @DailyNeb Twitter following.I spearheaded the effort for voting approval on the paper and raising awareness and support: in 2010, 51 percent of students approved of school funding for the paper ($2.50/student per semester), in 2011, 73 percent of students approved of funding.Feedback from readers was that this was the best paper in four years and that the Daily Nebraskan was a reliable source for accurate, fast information during breaking news situations.

Lincoln, Nebraska Area

Contacted by Bloomberg editor to write three stories about Midwest census numbers. Interviewed academics as well as city officials about micro-trends in population to put a fresh, unique spin on widely reported data on Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota. My stories were presented as example to higher editors about the great work freelancers can do for the company.

Eugene C. Pulliam Fellowship. Wrote 26 stories covering Surprise, Ariz., city hall and 24 information graphics about Northwest Valley news. Wrote enterprise, dailies, investigative and business stories.

Chips Quinn business intern. Wrote 18 enterprise and breaking news stories. Updated chicagobreakingbusiness.com for a week, 20 entries including quarterly earnings reports.

I worked for the Omaha World-Herald part time out of the Lincoln bureau. I covered spot news, speeches and enterprise stories. While there, I reported on UNL meat scientists creating new cuts of steak, how area shelters hide black cats during Halloween, the last state fair in Lincoln, interviewed a CEO and started a discussion about text messaging bad news.

I produced promotional and informational media such as the weekly crop report, brochures and crop quality reports. I assisted office staff in setting up a mobile baking lab, coordinated the annual board meeting and helped plan special events and projects. I scooped more than 1,000 pounds of Play-dough.

I worked on the news desk as a general assignment reporter and then as health and business reporter. I covered hate crimes in Lincoln, the bi-weekly Committee for Fee Allocation meeting, student finances and athletes who receive credit for practice. I averaged about three or four stories a week. I also produced two 70" stories about mental health reform in Nebraska that kicked off a special week-long series about mental health care reform.
