Collaboration with SHOM France (Service hydrographique et océanographique de la Marine) to study new models for Tsunamis.

The post is focused on modeling enhanced 3-equation systems of Shallow Water-type using the weighted residual methods and utilizing AUTO-07p to apply a bifurcation analysis of the model. It is a collaboration with Pr. Christian Ruyer-Quil in Laboratoire Optimisation de la Conception et Ingénierie de l'Environnement (LOCIE).

My thesis in fact contains both the modeling and analysis aspects. The first part was centered on comprehending new techniques and methodologies to model shallow water type systems for falling liquid films. In particular, I exploited hybrid methods between asymptotic and residual techniques to get a better comprehension of such systems. Analytically, I had the chance to study weak solutions of several types of systems: Newtonian lubrication systems where several aspects of capillarity and pressure are adapted, incompressible Navier-Stokes system fro Oldroyd rheology, and Bingham lake systems.
