It is your best opportunity to practice what you have learned and to learn new things.I’m currently a problem-solver at EY. As a Senior in the assurance practice, I leverage my curiosity, tenacity, resourcefulness, and support system every day to find new efficiencies that help both our engagement teams and clients. Whether it’s digging into an income statement to understand budget vs actuals or finding ways to improve internal engagement margin, my day-to-day is filled with opportunities to leave something better than it was before.I may not have taken a “direct” path to accounting/finance, but I have taken a path that I am proud of. I have been able to build relationships across industries. I have been able to work as a coach, mentor, and project coordinator in settings from a high school weight room to a research lab at an internationally acclaimed university. I believe my journey has given me a unique perspective to offer any place I take my talents.
