• Recipient of Chicago's Medal of Honor (2022)• When COVID-19 started, our team knew we had to support the IDD community in getting vaccinated. So we developed Vax for All (www.vaxforall.com) - a campaign that provided critical resources to supporting those with IDD in receiving the vaccine. • Through this campaign, two of our Autistic employees worked in partnership with the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and the IL Council for Developmental Disabilities to create resources and supports to help reduce vaccine anxiety.

I sat down to the website to try to find some info to show him in preparation so he knows what to expect, as I generally do before we go places because it’s our best chance at successful outings and found your app. I am seriously sitting here crying because it’s so wonderful. This app does all the stuff I usually try to find in one place. He can look at Photos and listen to sample sounds, see maps (he loves maps!) and I can plan for sensory triggers and quiet spots. The inclusion of a visual schedule and games to play while waiting or if they need a break is brilliant. So much thought and consideration went into this app. It’s a tremendous tool for families who travel with sensitive and spectrum kids (or adults) who usually have to figure out what to expect and hope for the best. We’ve visited other museums and I’ve never seen such a great resource available for planning for special needs visitors. Thank you Shedd! We can’t wait to explore on Tuesday.
