During my 4-week training at Archroma Centre of Excellence, I gained valuable insights and hands-on experience in textile wet processing. My training included:1. Water Analysis: I learned to analyze water properties such as hardness, TDS, and pH, crucial for textile processes.2. Pre-Treatment & OBA Application: I worked with cotton fabrics, applying pre-treatment and optical brightening agents using different processes.3. Dyeing Techniques: I gained expertise in dyeing cotton and polyester fabrics using direct, reactive, and disperse dyes through both exhaust and continuous processes.4. P/C Blend Fabric Dyeing: I also dyed polyester/cotton blend fabrics with a combination of reactive, disperse, and direct dyes.5. Digital Printing: I was introduced to digital printing technology, including a visit to a printer for a deeper understanding of the process.6. Fastness Testing: I conducted fastness tests following ISO and AATCC standards to ensure the quality and durability of dyed fabrics.7. Safety and Sustainability: I attended short sessions on safety measures and Archroma Earthcolors, emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices in the textile industry.

During my four-week internship at chlor-alkali plant, I gained hands-on knowledge across various areas:- Caustic Soda Production: Explored brine purification and electrolysis, evaporation and solidification of caustic soda using pressure filters, resin towers, electrolyzers, evaporators, and drum flakers.- HCL Production: Learned about hydrogen-chlorine combustion furnaces and absorption towers.- Chlorine Liquefaction: Observed the refrigeration cycle with compressors, condensers, expansion valves, and evaporators.- Sodium Hypochlorite and Calcium Hypochlorite Production: Gained insights into production processes.- Bleaching Powder Manufacturing: Explored production methods.- Waste Water Treatment: Learned about the industrial waste water treatment process.- Quality Control Lab: Enhanced analytical skills.This experience deepened my understanding of chemical engineering and plant management within the chlor-alkali industry, including HSE practices and work permit procedures.
