The Advocacy is "an ultimately inclusive, radically transparent entity that stands for the rightful empowerment of and a better experience for ALC students; #PowertotheStudents"I started the Advocacy by leading a case about the housing experience of students at my school, myself included, and used that case to test the designed structure and reiterate on it. The Advocacy has been having an much subtle and indirect impact on the student experience; it countered the administration's implicit belief of the students not being as attentive and critical on one side, and raised awareness amongst the student community on injustices taking place around them. I also designed learning experiences that satisfy the short-term developmental needs of 40 directors and managers, stretching up to the CEO. An institutional challenge for me was how to design a program that lives up to the overwhelming diversity such senior people have in their learning needs and developmental levels while as doing so in a cost-effective, scalable way that aligns with ALU's strategy. A personal challenge for was to manage my relationships with the trainees, who are technically senior people in my university and many of whom have taught me before. We ended up transforming "Manager Training" to "L-Square" (stands for Learn to Lead) and presenting it as a proposal that is being incorporated in a new executive training offering of ALU.
