- Guide a team of over 30 equestrians on a weekly basis answering any questions they may have and assisting in numerous other ways.- Lead monthly group meetings and manage all team apparel.- Safety Lead for the team as well, meaning I am Red Cross Certified in Adult CPR/First Aid/AED in case if anything were to happen to one of our team members.

- Engage with recreational sports team members while ensuring they are satisfied with their experience.- Perform headcounts of all participants insuring the facility is accomodating the correct number of people.- Interact in-person and communicate via radio with all other recreational sports employees, including the professional staff on site.

- Educate myself further in the field of real estate through networking with 300 people on a weekly basis. - Interact with multiple people during our weekly meetings to expand my network in my future field of work.

​​Many of my skills were expanded in this internship including my:- Creative Thinking Skills: From updating the website to recording and writing a radio commercial for the company, I used my creative thinking skills every time I worked. However, this was quite challenging at times. Since this was my first internship, these challenges helped me develop my creative thinking skills into what they are today.- Teamwork and Collaboration Skills: I worked with many different people at Olthof Homes from the technical department to the design center. My manager was the head of marketing and she made sure to include me in all of the meetings she had with each department. Quickly, I developed my collaboration skills because I was given the opportunity to talk with many different kinds of people. These skills also helped me develop my communication skills on a level much higher than my seventeen year old self had imagined. - Organizational Skills: To ensure realtors could find and access floor plans easily, I made certain that each plan was printed and in its correct folder. This was critical to the success of the realtors. It is very frustrating when things are not in their correct places. It can cause people to run late, become irritated, and even do or say things that they do not mean. I believe that organizational skills are one of the most important skills a person can learn. Overall, if the company was unorganized, I could have been blamed. However, by double checking that everything was done correctly, no issues arose while I was there.

At the country club in my hometown, I worked two full summers as a lifeguard. This job taught me a few valuable skills including:- Time Management Skills: I had to be on time to work every day and prepare the pool for the guests. This included setting up the chairs, cleaning the pool, and making sure the first aid kits were stocked with the necessary supplies. When needed, all of these things were critical to the pool running smoothly. For example, if someone had tripped and fell on the concrete and was bleeding, I had to quickly get over to them and fix the situation. This also had to be done in a timely manner to make sure other guests did not become uncomfortable.- Communications Skills: Each day, I had to talk to the members and take care of any need they had. Many of the members had special requests that they wanted the employees to take care of, especially the lifeguards. Moreover, this led to me giving swim lessons to many of their children which also came with many responsibilities. Overall, I was given the opportunity to not only develop my communication skills with adults, but with teaching children as well.
