I am a highly motivated, adaptable, and hands-on mechanical engineer with over 12 years of combined experience in the aerospace, space, and defense industry. My diverse experience includes design, analysis, testing, and project management for various solenoid operated and motorized space valves, electro-mechanical and hydraulic locks, and hydraulic actuation system. My experience also include 8+ years of working in a full product lifecycle engineering role which include build and test for both aerospace and space components. I am well versed in Engineering CAD tools (Unigraphics NX and SolidWorks), have fundamental knowledge of GD&T, manufacturing processes, materials, seals, and surface treatments.Over the past few years, I have utilized my diverse skills in a cross-functional team to drive the design of several key components on Woodward's Thrust Reverser Actuation Systems (TRAS). My effort has allowed the successful certification of several TRAS program on the following aircraft: Airbus A320neo CFM LEAP, Airbus A330neo, and Bombardier Global 7000/7500. At VACCO Industries, I provided technical leadership to manage projects for several space and defense programs with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. This experience included hands-on building, testing, and resolving failures for motorized and solenoid actuated valves on NASA's ORION Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Environment Control Life Support System (ECLSS) and rotary actuator switches & fuses for Boeing's AGM-86 Subsonic Air-Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) project.Currently at Virgin Galactic as a Sr. Propulsion Design Engineer, I am the propulsion valves subject matter expert in which I provide technical leadership support for the procurement, design, and integration of several propulsion valves for Virgin's next generation Delta Spaceship program.
