I am a co-founder of AFB Capital, an investment manager that identifies emerging companies at their early stages and plays an active role in their growth. As part of our investments, we assist the investee companies with their corporate governance, legal and structuring matters, financial management, business and strategic plans and fund raising activities. AFB Capital’s portfolio to date include Platinum Beverages (Vietnam’s original craft beer company), Okiela (last-mile logistics for ecommerce) and Vietcetera (an on-line media publisher).

Platinum is Vietnam's original craft beer. As part of AFB's investment in Platinum, I provide advice to the Platinum team on all strategic, legal and corporate finance matters.

Responsible for the legal and corporate secretarial matters of the Interflour Group; a multinational owner and operator of agriculture assets throughout Asia and Turkey. The assets of the group include flour mills, ports, grain handling terminals and a malting plant.

Elected by the members of AusCham Vietnam to be a Director and the Secretary of the Board for two successive terms, serving alongside various other leaders in the Australian business community in Vietnam.

As a senior lawyer at Allens, I advised multinational corporations and private equity funds in relation to their investments in South East Asia.In particular, I developed an expertise in the Vietnam market. Transactions of note include IFC’s investment in Thien Minh Group and IAG’s entry into the Vietnam market and subsequent step-up investment in AAA Assurance Corporation.

I was a solicitor in the Freehills Corporate Group, a practice leader in the area of M&A. In this position, I have had prominent roles on numerous market leading public and private M&A transactions, as well as advised on general commercial matters. Major transactions I was involved in include the demerger of DuluxGroup from Orica and subsequent listing of DuluxGroup on the ASX (valued at AUD1.2 billion) and acquisition by Olam of Timbecorp’s assets (valued at AUD300 million).
