As the title implies, the Community Education Manager ensures biking in Greater New Orleans is safe, fun, and easy by actively educating people and managing education programs that improve the bicycling experience. Programs aim to create behavioral changes that lead to safer roadways and expanded healthy transportation options by helping people of all ages feel confident on and around bikes. Primary focus areas include programs with schools to promote biking and walking to school; community education programming, including bike rides, workshops, and trainings; and leadership development initiatives.The Community Education Manager also supports Bike Easy’s fundraising, advocacy and policy initiatives, membership development, community outreach and grassroots organizing, and encouragement events as needed/possible. General Responsibilities• Teaching various bicycle safety workshops to youth and adults• Developing, implementing, and overseeing educational programs and curricula• Initiating and managing partnerships with schools and community organizations• Writing grants and otherwise raising funds to support educational programming• Managing staff, contractors, and volunteers• Planning outreach and educational events• Tracking and reporting for programs and grants• Contributing to Bike Easy organizational decision-making and direction

Led outreach for the Share & Be Aware safety campaign and provide bicycle and pedestrian education, outreach, and advocacy in three counties region. Led effort to incorporating bike education classes in Milwaukee city wide recreation program

Milwaukee Bicycle Works Inc is a non-profit organization serving Milwaukee’s West Side . It is designed to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits through hands-on programs for kids and adults, volunteer projects, and a neighborhood bike shop. The driving principle of Bicycle Works is, "Bicycling can be the tool for change in the community."

The Bicycling Ambassador program is the Chicago Department of Transportations bicycle safety outreach and education program. Ambassadors travel by bicycle to events all over Chicago to talk to the public about using bikes safely and using them more often.
