Soil ConservationistUsda Sep 2016 - PresentBryan OhioI work with agricultural producers in Henry, Fulton and Williams counties to develop comprehensive conservation plans. These plans look at all aspects of their farm including but not limited to:• manure management• manure storage facilities• basic and precision nutrient management• Agricultural• Gypsum• drainage water management• cover crops• numerous other best management practices. I then help the producer apply for funding related to practices that are needed on their farms, if they are interested in funding. Regardless if they interested in funding or not, I provide the producers with information to help them implement these practices, this information can range from seeding methods and rates, cover crop selection, engineering plans, nutrient rates and location, anything they need to successfully implement these plans.Lastly, I work to present information to producers to help them understand program that are offered, resources that are available and technical information about BMPs. -
