Job DescriptionProduct Manager primarily responsible for securing projects relating to Smart Factory 4.0 in the semi-conductor industry and following through to the installation of the systems (which covers project scoping, developing, design customization, securing components from sub-contractors for demonstration of prototypes to proof of concept. Preparing sales proposal, negotiating terms and pricings and overseeing the production and installation of the systems for Semiconductor factories globally. Currently also temporarily looking after Micron fabs in Singapore in securing component sales and managing fulfilment. Job Responsibilities1. Projects Section a) Maintain contact with and engage semi-con companies to solicit projects. Handles multi-million-dollar projects from various fab customers in Singapore, Europe & USA.b) Understand the customers’ requirements and follow up which include the following:• Analyse the customer’s problems and needs, do project scoping, identify the components, software, additional design work and integration required. • Develop the prototype for proof of concept (POC) leverage on systems that had been previously developed. However often require customisation as customers have different requirements and brands and versions of machines. • Present and demonstrate POC to the customer to confirm the functionalities and designs.• Negotiate with suppliers/sub-contractors on the pricings and delivery timelines. • Check the availability and plausible delivery dates of hardware/components.• Conduct internal meetings with internal Sales Director and external Supplier on the project pricings strategy. • Prepare sales proposal, which is preceded by doing costing of components and 3rd party cost as well as internal resource requirements
