Born and raised in small town in Malaysia, Kuantan, Khoon Kiat’s worked as an advertising creative for 10 years.During this time, he’s worked for Saatchi and Saatchi Malaysia, McCann Worldgroup Singapore, Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai and Lowe and Partners Singapore on local, regional and global businesses including Tiger Beer, Dove, Lee Jeans, CloseUp Toothpaste, Dirt Is Good (Omo, Breeze) and some Unilever’s brand. He’s also been fortunate enough to has been awarded some of the top industry awards including Cannes Lions, One Show Designs, Clios, Spike, Adfest and some local award – Gong show and Kancil award. He also represented Malaysia to join Adfest for Young Lotus 2005 and awarded as top 3 in the competition. Among 10 years, he has been lucky enough to work with some of the advertising gurus around the world including Edmund Choe, Gigi Lee, Farrokh Madon, Dominic Stallard and etc. They have been great mentors for his career.In years 2010 he decided to challenge his comfort zone to work abroad. He has spent a very good year in Shanghai and met some of the top creative people in the world. But, we decided to go back to Singapore because of future plan and delicious food.In his free time KK likes to spend hours with his wife crafting on their side project – The lorem Ipsum Store. It is an online store that was born by accidentally. His wife hand makes on those little felt brooches while he is helping on the art direction to promote the craft.
