Developed a Measurement System to create a Temperature Map of Carbide Tool Insert using a Thermocouple, Optical Pyrometer, and Thermal Camera(FLIR) for temperature measurement at the tool-chip interface and a 3-Phase Dynamometer to measure the forces induced.- Developed a temperature measurement setup using a custom-made thermocouple (dia 250 Microns) inserted into a Micro-hole (dia 400 Microns) created on the tool insert by Electro-Discharge Machining, a non-conventional machining method.- Developed the tool insert by changing the Cutting Edge Radius (CER) by Drag Finishing Process and found the most optimum CER for desired Tool life and minimized tool wear.
