▪ Fiscal management and budget oversight responsibility for the Center for Academic Access & Student Enrichment Scholarship Program, DREAM Center, Educational Opportunity Program, Military and Veteran Resource Center, PUERTA, Seawolf Scholars Foster Youth program, the Summer Bridge Program, and Wine Industry Scholars Program totaling over $4 million and serving approximately 1,000 students on an annual basis. ▪ Responsible for planning, directing, managing, evaluating and overseeing the activities, services, and staff of the Equity and Access Programs.▪ Provide innovative, strategic, and comprehensive assessment and leadership to the DREAM Center, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Military and Veteran Resource Center (MAVRC), Preparing Underrepresented Educators to Realize their Teaching Ambitions (PUERTA), the Seawolf Scholars Foster Youth Program, and Summer Bridge Orientation Program.▪ Responsible for the management and direct oversight of the strategic planning, development, implementation, direction, and supervision for all assigned projects, programs, and services ensuring compliance of policies, procedures, laws, and executive memorandums pursuant to the support of students and programs.▪ Responsible for the hiring, supervision and guidance of all assigned personnel as well as budget management and audit compliance.▪ Develop and execute comprehensive program activities to advise, counsel, motivate and assist in the retention of students.▪ Promote success among all low-income, educationally-disadvantaged, first-generation, underserved, and underrepresented students to include increasing retention and graduation rates that directly address the achievement gap identified in the GI 2025 plan.▪ Develop and implement operational guidelines, priorities, and procedures for program components of DREAM Center, EOP, MAVRC, PUERTA, the Seawolf Scholars Program, the Summer Bridge program, and WISP.

▪ Fiscal management and budget oversight responsibility for DREAM Center, EOP, PUERTA, Seawolf Scholars Foster Youth program, the Summer Bridge Program, and Wine Industry Scholars Program totaling over $2.3 million and serving approximately 1,000 students on an annual basis. ▪ Provide direct supervision and leadership to seven professional full-time staff members within CAASE (1 Administrative Analyst), DREAM Center (1 Coordinator), EOP (1 Coordinator, 2 Professional Academic Advisors), and PUERTA (2 Professional Academic Advisors).▪ Responsible for the hiring, supervision and guidance of all assigned personnel.▪ Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to ensure the delivery of effective and quality service to students within DREAM Center, EOP, PUERTA, and Seawolf Scholars.▪ Develop and write grant proposals in collaboration with University Advancement to foundations and other grant-making organizations by persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders.▪ Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive professional academic advising services for DREAM Center, EOP, PUERTA, and Seawolf Scholars students.▪ Manage and oversee all aspects of advising services (e.g., probationary students, first-time, first-year students, transfer students, major-specific, etc). ▪ Develop and execute comprehensive program activities to advise, counsel, motivate and assist in the retention of DREAM Center, EOP, PUERTA, and Seawolf Scholars students. ▪ Develop and implement a comprehensive Summer Bridge orientation program for first-time, first-year students within DREAM Center, EOP, PUERTA, and Seawolf Scholars. ▪ Coordination of the Wine Industry Scholars Program (WISP) Scholarship Program▪ Oversee recruitment and enrollment of program participants and ensuring participation in program activities in accordance with university and sponsor program requirements.

▪ Provide direct leadership to a staff of 5 and provide management oversight to a program of 600 students. ▪ Establish setting EOP program goals and priorities with staff to determine direction of program growth and change.▪ Managed an operating budget of $200,000 within EOP and $100,000 for the Summer Bridge program.▪ Coordinate and lead EOP day-to-day advising and retention service activities such as academic advising, holistic counseling, and community building opportunities in order to meet student needs and program goals and objectives.▪ Work collaboratively across division lines with campus partners to strategically develop a plan of action to achieve department vision and goals in order to meet the needs of students ▪ Co-authored the Wine Industry Scholars Program grant as an EOP team with the School of Business and Economics and University Advancement for additional program funding which resulted in $2.2 million in donor funding.▪ Design, coordinate, and implement an 11-day Summer Bridge transition program for 241 first time freshmen and a 1-day Transfer Bridge transition program for 25 new Transfer students admitted to Sonoma State University EOP.▪ Responsible for an advisee load of 125 EOP students which include first time freshmen, continuing students, transfer students, undocumented students, and former/current foster youth.▪ Advise EOP students regarding general education requirements, appropriate class selection, degree progress, major/minor exploration, academic policies and procedures, and campus resources.▪ Provide holistic counseling for transitional support, creating a sense of belonging, social/cultural adjustments to SSU, financial assistance, food/housing insecurities, self-care, and any other relevant student needs.▪ Facilitate and initiate four-year graduation plans utilizing advising e-tools such as Academic Requirements Report, What-If Report, and Degree Planner within the Peoplesoft common management system.

▪ Designed courses which gave a comprehensive understanding of academic and personal support to first time freshmen in their first semester in college and to create a sense of belonging within the community.▪ Developed and taught curricula focused on developing academic skills necessary for college success such as time management, study skills, learning styles, and utilizing campus resources; Basics of choosing a major and career exploration; Financial Literacy such as creating a budget and money management; and Healthy Decision Making and Self-care▪ Developed, delivered, and informed students of co-curricular opportunities to encourage student involvement.

▪ Designed courses which gave a comprehensive understanding of major and career exploration opportunities.▪ Developed and taught curricula focused on exploring and identifying student interests and values in relationship to majors and careers utilizing the Strong Interest Inventory and Values Sort Card; Choosing the right major and SSU major exploration; Identifying a specific career and conducting informational interviews and research on careers; Personality preference in relationship to majors and careers; and Skills and aptitude assessment▪ Coordinated with various faculty and staff to present opportunities for skills and career development such as preparing for medical school, studying away to broaden cultural perspective, etc.

▪ Provided direct student advising services to EOP and Undeclared students including, but not limited to, generaleducation advising, choosing a major/minor, and developing a four-year graduation plan▪ Developed and implemented group advising workshops for Undeclared students covering topics such as degree planning and academic probation infusing strategies on how to be a successful student utilizing campus resources▪ Worked one on one with students to develop a plan of action toward exploring and declaring major(s)▪ Utilized resources such as the Occupational Information Network (O*Net online), Occupational Outlook Handbook, and Myers-Briggs type indicator assessment tool to assist students with major and career exploration opportunities▪ Co-coordinated and presented Academic Advising presentations during Transfer and Summer Orientations▪ Created query reports to track and manage academic progress of Undeclared students who were 60+ units▪ Hired, supervised, and trained Student Peer Advisors for the Peer Advising Program to assist with basic advising service▪ Work closely with major academic departments to provide workshops tailored for students to learn about major/minor degree requirements and process of declaring major/minor as well as how to connect majors to career fields of interest
