Design And Historic Preservation Planner
CurrentReview and develop recommendations on signs, building permits, site plans, architectural drawings, and special usevpermits within the County's Entrance Corridors to ensure consistency with the County's design guidelines and ordinances.Prepare and deliver staff reports and presentations to the public and appointed/elected officials at various public meetings (Architectural Review Board, Community Advisory Committees, Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors).Provide recommendations and guidance on special use permits and rezoning’s impacts on the County’s historic resources.Assist with managing the County's Historic Preservation Committee, including preparing materials and agendas, coordinating demolition documentation, and facilitating monthly public meetings.Provide technical assistance, guidance, and information to the public, applicants, and boards/commissions regarding the County’s design guidelines, Historic Preservation, County regulations, application procedures and processing, and related issues.Serve as a web editor and assist the Planning Department with updating the County’s external website.
