Project: Gravity compensation Wearable Passive Exoskeleton for Stroke Rehabilitation.● Used gravity compensation in robot design to obtain improve 30-50% range of motion during reaching.● Applied data acquisition hardware (National Instruments) in electronic circuit to collect force profile from device.● Designed back exoskeletons model in SolidWorks using mechanical design skills, used FEA, GD&T to simulate device performance, assembled several prototype. ● Tested final prototype in virtual reality (VR) environment, with Oculus Rift and custom Unity software, where subjects reaching for virtual targets to see subject hands path and the effect of devices and the VR environment.● Collected data from subject in daily life actives such as reaching and shelving using Xsens sensor to track hand motion.● Performed statistical analysis and animate a skeleton of hand movement paths in experiments using MATLAB. ● Documented product design, development, test process in Master Thesis.

● Used Matlab code for automatically segment the image and find the lesion the Covid-affected areas from normal in CT Scans.● Developed animate for CT scans to see to change in patient lung.

● Researched about Quantitative Polarized Light Microscopy, Stokes Vector and Mueller Matrix in different aspects: Instrumentation, Method, Biomedical Application, Theory, Clinical Trials Application ..● Literature Review: Effectiveness of Mueller-Matrix imaging in Diagnostics using Polarized light Microscopy.● Developed formula for Polar Decomposition of Mueller Matrices to Extract Individual Polarization Parameter and Mueller matrix of an ideal retarder with phase shift gamma in Matlab.● Collaboration and presentation with other teammates.

Participated in 2 summer projects focused on different aspects of stroke rehabilitation. Project 1: HandMATE: Wearable Robotic Hand Exoskeleton and Integrated Android App for At Home Stroke Rehabilitation. ● Designed exoskeleton parts on 3D Solidworks, with liner actuator to assist stroke patient hands and communicate with tablet.● Evaluated control system through 5 stroke patients, receiving more than 80% positive feedback on the device.● Published a paper and presented at the IEEE Engineering Conference with my advisor, Professor Lum, and other team members. Project 2: Virtual Reality (VR) Projects written in Unity framework for headset and hand device for Stroke Rehabilitation (SR). ● Explored the VR headset and Unity design for virtual reality and augmented reality to prior stroke rehabilitation research.● Developed the tracking movement between Arduino and Unity tool. ● Programmed games in Unity to compatible with VR headset (Oculus Quest) and the hand device to collect hand coordinate.

Project: Clot Prevention via Dilution and Tangential Filtration using Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).● Evaluated a Dilution and Tangential Filtration mechanical blood thinner based on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) to increase the effectiveness of chemical clot prophylaxis without further need of thrombolytics.● Designed prototypes under FDA 510(k), ISO standard with surgeons, nurses, patient input and business mentors.● Presented a Venture Capital Model detailing user needs, market size, competitive landscape, FDA regulatory pathway and insurance reimbursement to potential investors.
