•Participated in Understanding of Business Requirements of ChildCare Management System. •Involved with the team to Redesign and Redevelop the existing CCMS application for the State of Illinois.•Used Log4j Logging mechanism to log errors and other important information.•Identified the root cause of bugs and fixed them.•Used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSF to rewrite the UI which was previously written in Adobe FLEX.•Used Java to write reusable code for different modules and Spring Framework following MVC Architecture and iBatis for handling Database Queries.•Used RAD, WebSphere, IBM RTC to design, deploy, and integrate the code. •Integrated Security in code as well as application to keep access of the web app to certain people only.•Involved in dynamic pdf generation using SOAP and REST calls to web services based on requirement and iText which in further can be used to generate fillable forms. •Used Flash Builder to debug through FLEX code to find out the flow and front-end components in the old web application.

•Developed a web application that can generate a dynamic chart on a selected map layer based on some data related to it like population, number of vehicles, number of animals, Area of a particular region. •Used OpenLayer3 as Map provider and Geoserver to process and edit geospatial data.•Used JSP-Servlets and Javascript to write the UI and Java to write Backend Modules.•Used RGB Balancing to generate a shade of different gradient for selected color by the user.•Used PostgreSQL for getting demographic data for selected map layer •Once a parameter is selected user can select the type of dynamic chart they want on the map and the counties in the map are filled with the different gradient of the selected color.
