Developing an elderly care wearable device using Amazon Sidewalk at HERO lab under Professor Cao

Currently working as the Electrical and Controls Team Lead.Previously worked as an Electrical Engineering team member in 2023-2024.Participated in the international CanSat competition to create a payload that would be released 725 meters into the atmosphere, imitating a planetary probe landing sequence.Worked with a team of two electrical engineers to design a PCB compromising of all the required sensors as mandated by the competition.Helped design the layout of the board as well as solder three revisions of the board with consecutively lighter weights with each revision. Final revision consisted of mostly SMD components that were hand soldered.Accomplishments:Won 4th place internationally, 2nd place in the US.

CMTA is a construction firm focused on sustainability, working towards zero energy/zero carbon buildings.I am currently responsible for assisting in the development of the schematic design via Revit, working with high voltage, three-phase, transformer power systems.Managing multiple projects at once while working in a tight knit team to produce deliverables on time. Worked on receptacle placement, sustainability redesign, single-line diagrams, circuiting, and documentation according to code standards and regulations such as the NEC and NEMA.

Worked to design schematics via Altium to create the low voltage system for the first iteration of UC Irvine's solar car that is going to participate in the American Solar Challenge (ASC).Performed testing on sensors such as current sensors, voltage sensors, and thermistors as well as the CAN Bus system.

- Managed the ASUCI website, ASUCI Instagram, and ASUCI Facebook, releasing posts on an almost daily basis- Organized 200+ post submissions Google Sheets through SQL to automatically sort by date and time to ensure information was released- Facilitated communication between the student body through social media and the 9 branches present within the student body- Assisted in account reaching 10k+ followers- Awarded by ASUCI as a valuable member of the team

- Participated in quarterly sets of projects exploring Arduinos, soldering, and PCB design- Example projects: Mini piano using a 555 timer and a protoboard, utilizing and Arduino to play songs based on programmed pitches and speaker, learning the basics of PCB design via KiCad

- Attended in weekly meeting to build upon career oriented skills such as presentation and networking - Participated in LIFE Tank Competition (similar to Shark Tank) - Worked in a group of six to develop an advertisable product within a month - Won third place in the competition

- Founded organization to increase female/minority STEM participation within community- Lead 20+ people to manage communication, finances, and social media- Held three successful workshop with 15 members each- Managed communication with local Tri-Valley organizations for guidance and support- Organized 5+ webinars with a range of 10-30+ attendees- Managing Instagram account (@_stemfem) with 200+ followers
