I am a clinical veterinary student at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and plan to earn a DVM in 2025. I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Sciences with an emphasis in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2021.Prior to veterinary school, I worked with various different animal species at several veterinary hospitals as a Veterinary Assistant and volunteered with different animal rescues. My experience in receptionist work (filing and scheduling appointments), using the Avimark Software, creating and distributing medications to clients and animals, administering vaccinations and oral medications, and properly handling and restraining different animal species has been strengthened through each experience. I also possess a Veterinary Controlled Substance Permit, so I have managed bookkeeping for several controlled drug substances before as well. I look forward to networking and gaining new experiences in the field that will help provide career opportunities for myself and others in the future. My aim is to expand my overall understanding as well as knowledge within the field to strengthen my social and medical skills to create a strong foundation and contribute to the aiding of animals in need.
