As a dedicated student volunteer at Welland County Hospital, I assist patients with dietary aid, ensuring they receive the correct meals and addressing dietary concerns, work at the welcome desk providing a warm and friendly welcome to patients and visitors, offer directions and assistance, support physiotherapists by helping with therapeutic exercises and treatments, assist nurses in the emergency department with various tasks to ensure efficient patient care during critical situations, commit to delivering exceptional care to all patients, and help dialysis patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their treatment. This role has provided me with valuable experience in patient care, communication, and teamwork, all while enhancing the overall patient experience at the hospital.
