I’m an enthusiastic, quick learning, and committed individual who is able to set personal goals and complete individual tasks while learning on the go. I am a recent graduate of York University’s Interdisciplinary Social Science program where I directed my education to media, communication, and journalism studies, focusing on the complex and decentralized global web of information that is the basis for public and political discourse. I enjoy working with others and have excelled on project oriented teams that solved problems collaboratively. Cliché as it may be, I firmly believe in the mantra “if there’s a will there’s a way” and am never short on will power.I previously studied computer science and have a diverse background in information technology with experience in incident management, systems deployment, customer service and minor experience in computer programming. I have had great work experiences and fantastic peers and mentors in this field, but I have discovered that I enjoy and am good at the creative process, iteratively taking ideas from concepts to final products.I am passionate about music and art, and creativity is important to me in all facets of my life. While pursuing my B.A., I became a founding member of Oneida Sessions, a music and art collective in Toronto responsible for hosting live music events and showcasing talent from across the Greater Toronto Area. At Oneida, I am a DJ, event producer, and a graphic designer who has made visual pieces for events and members of the Oneida team. I’m looking for opportunities where I can learn, contribute, and make a difference.
