As the West Side Assistant Area Manager I was responsible for leading a large team on 10 acres of a Halloween Festival with 6 attractions focused on guest entertainment and interactivity, food & beverage vendors, retail vendors, and general customer service. I logged business volume and vendor supplies to keep event supplies in stock for the guest experience and to report during management meetings. Interviewing and training new and/or returning staff through safety and theatrical training was another responsibility I ensured was completed efficiently each show season. Additionally, I provided property orientation/tours and assisted with staff onboarding processes in the hiring process. I designed new event attractions and coordinated with production technicians to bring concepts to live production in a collaborative team effort. Additionally, I monitored and enforced actor, staff, and guest safety with inspective quality checks performed nightly during each show and responded to security concerns or emergency situations with a security team.

My role as a Visitor Experience Associate included providing guests with up to date information about attractions, services, events, and activities in the greater Philadelphia area and surrounding locations. I also identified and fulfilled guests' needs in the areas of directions, itineraries, hotels, attractions, etc. Additionally, I sold and processed ticket transactions for regional attractions and tours. This position involved interacting and assisting with guests who spoke Spanish or had limited English capabilities. Furthermore, I managed and coordinated brochure displays and inventory for local and regional opportunities for guests to utilize in enhancing their visit to Philadelphia. Along with this, I provided administrative assistance and coordination for the information desk operations and collaborated with the National Parks Service to provide visitors with a memorable experience to Philadelphia and its history.

Terror Behind the Walls was a massive haunted house inside of the nationally recognized historic landmark, Eastern State Penitentiary, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During the Halloween season, I interacted with thousands of visitors in and out of character while enforcing rules, monitoring guests’ safety and security, staff management, and assisted with general haunted house operations.

In this role, I served as a social media coordinator, managed, and generated content for the university’s Twitter account. Additionally, I generated social media plans and calendars for the semester and also created bi-weekly reports on the account's activity. Furthermore, I had experience with live streaming and managing user responses. I also lead university housing tours and answered inquiries from prospective students and families visiting IUP. Part of my position also had me attend and present at university recruitment events on or off campus. I also have been featured in official university promotions and marketing materials for on-camera testimonials, radio commercial work, and print brochures. Also, I managed 100+ scholarship recipients to ensure they fulfilled their scholarship requirements and relayed important messages to them while assisting the Directors of Admissions in administrative tasks and admissions operations.

My role as an intern with Voice of America included working with several live television shows such as Hashtag VOA and Fast Five from the pre-production level to post-production. For each show I worked with, I assisted with the management of social media accounts like Facebook and Twitter for creating promotional posts. I utilized Adobe Premiere Pro in order to clip 30 minute broadcasts into short segments for distribution across social media platforms. Using the same software, I created and edited a digital short video for Hashtag VOA that generated over 42,000 views. Finally, I assisted with post-production responsibilities such as drafting transcriptions and was an active participant in show operations with live tweeting and teleprompter operations.

The Smithsonian Latino Center's Young Ambassadors Program (YAP) is a program within the Latino Center that reaches out to Latino high school students with the goal of encouraging them to become leaders in arts, sciences, and the humanities. As a specially selected student, I traveled to Washington, D.C. for an "enrichment seminar" that lasted approximately one week. This experience included receiving various trainings, educational workshops, and behind the scenes access at several Smithsonian Institutions. Afterwards, I returned to my community to serve in a paid, one-month internship with the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I had the opportunity to work with youth and the public as part of the museum's summer initiative, Art Splash to teach them art skills and interpretation. As part of this program, I also collaborated with the Philadelphia Museum of Art's outreach program to teach art with a local summer camp grounp at two public libraries in the city.
