As a proactive member of Target’s Assets Protection team, I have consistently provided outstanding support to Target’s guests, Team Members, leadership, and local law enforcement. I have maintained the highest level of support despite being the sole Security Specialist during periods of staffing shortages.- Partner with Team Leads and Team Members to prevent safety issues, shortage, and theft.- Welcome and engage guests, offering assistance with locating merchandise and other special needs.- Patrol and monitor premises hourly, identifying any safety concerns or abnormalities.- When necessary, attentively monitor the store and surrounding areas using video surveillance system for signs of safety concerns and attempted theft by guests or Team Members.- Directly assisted local law enforcement on numerous occasions by providing relevant information and video footage.- Prevent theft and shortage at the front of the store by performing receipt checks for exposed high-dollar merchandise.- Educate Team Members on safety procedures and expectations, shortage risks, and common theft identifiers.- Adhere to AP policy and procedures by submitting documentation into the appropriate computer software system.- Identify theft and shortage trends in the store and communicate to appropriate store Team Lead or stand-in APTL.- Complete and maintain all required workday training.- Attained thousands of dollars in Productive Merchandise Recoveries by utilizing effective vigilance techniques.
