I began working at ATB as an ATB 101 student over the summer in the same position as I am in now. In my first summer at ATB I created an internal Indigenous Cultural Learning Plan available for all ATB team members.After I my position was extended to a part time role while I completed my university requirements I began to focus on more educating others within ATB. This passion for sharing knowledge, allowed me to then lead our internal Sharing Circles focused on the U of A Indigenous Canada course on Coursera. This involved a series of 12 Sharing Circles, each with additional resources, guest speakers and presentations, and thought provoking questions to guide team members on their learning journey. Now as a full time member of ATB, I get to share knowledge with others, attend events through sponsorship opportunities, provide feedback and suggestions to improve Reconciliation efforts in all areas, and help ATB on its journey to gold Progressive Aboriginal Relations certification through the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.

The Business Pride Club is a student business club at the University of Calgary focusing on connecting 2SLGBTQIA+ students with business professionals through various events and conferences. I began my time with the Business Pride Club as the Vice President of Marketing, before ultimately switching to Vice President of Human Resources. In my time here, I gained experience in areas such as event planning, supporting a large team, time management, and networking. I played a vital role in establishing the Business Pride Club as a team that consistently delivers great events, including two National Conferences with over 100 attendees each.

The Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership is a Haskayne run centre focusing on empowering students to hone their leadership skills through mentorship, collaboration, and connecting with established professionals in multiple fields. While working at CCAL, I assisted with the facilitation of the Learning with Leaders program, where we invited prominent individuals from C-suite level positions to talk with Haskayne students about how to grow their leadership ability. I also wrote multiple articles for the CCAL newsletter focusing on business ethics. Here I gained experience formatting and sending out the newsletter to 1000's of interested individuals.

I joined Suncor through their Indigenous Student Program, connecting Indigenous students with summer job opportunities within many areas of Suncor. I was placed within the Capacity Optimization team focused on ensuring that team members on site in Northern Alberta would all have a place to sleep after they completed their work for the day. This position allowed me to develop my Excel skills through daily and weekly reporting. I first ran operations Fort Hills in the summer, before switching to Fire Bag after I was asked to extend my co-op and stay with Suncor for an additional four months. Fire Bag required more intense reporting and planning as this was one of the main sites for winter drilling, meaning that operations would increase by the hundreds as the cold came.
