I got this position after word of my "hacking" abilities passed to a business owner in my area. He set a computer in front of me and said, "Get into it." I did. It was my first Pen test before I even knew what Pen testing was. And it is still one of my favorite things to do with technology. He hired me on the spot and my first project was to protect what I just managed to infiltrate. As a full fledged staff member, my responsibilities included - configuring and managing 20+ computers - setting up an Exchange Server- monitoring and documenting network and PC activity - upgrading and implementing new hardware and software across the network- performing all maintenance on company machines and peripherals - General office support which entailed MS Office support - Employee training on the systems and their uses, how-to guides and employee manual creations, and ensuring agents could properly utilize the VPN tunnel at all times while in the field.
