Keighley Douglas is an innovative entrepreneur, educator, and children's author, making significant strides in education, publishing, and media. As the founder and CEO of KBH Classroom, an EdTech platform focused on black history and diversity education, Keighley is leading the charge to bring inclusive, curriculum-aligned video lessons to classrooms nationwide. Her groundbreaking work with KBH Classroom has positioned her as a unique voice in EdTech, and she has recently been recognised with nominations in 2024 for the Women in Tech Excellence award for Founder/Entrepreneur of the Year and as a finalist at the BTA Awards. Keighley's journey in educational content creation began with Kids Black History, a children’s TV show she launched in 2020 to make black history engaging and accessible for young audiences. The show has since gained a dedicated following on platforms like YouTube and Sensical TV, with more than 130 episodes produced under Keighley’s leadership. As a writer and editor for the show, she has been integral to every aspect of its development and production, even collaborating with Channel 5’s Milkshake! TV on special Black History Month programming.Alongside her work in digital education, Keighley is a passionate author and currently signed with Lindsay Literary Agency. Her first book, was published by Oxford University Press in January 2024. Her literary work complements her mission with KBH Classroom: empowering young readers and learners with stories that reflect diverse voices and experiences.In addition to her roles as an entrepreneur and author, Keighley is a seasoned secondary school teacher and head of year with over a decade of experience. Her teaching background is central to her mission, helping her design resources for KBH Classroom that are both academically rigorous and relatable to students.
