Storytelling is pivotal to human existence. Without the communication of impactful experiences, we would be devoid of empathy. Our humanity would be lost. I crave to render the vision of storytellers through visual art. When the mundane meets the seemingly far-fetched, I am there to render it. I desire to construct a story’s environments, vehicles, tools and costumes with as much nuance as the tales’ message. My work invokes a visceral response because it feels tactile and lived in. I draw inspiration from everyday textures, snippets of sentences, primal hopes and looming anxieties. By creating worlds, I will provide the wow-factor entertainment provides to the modern viewer. As a result, viewers will be challenged to expand their perspectives by exhibiting empathy. Hopefully, viewers will reframe their contribution to the global community.
