Housing  Directs in-hall programming, crisis response, and safety procedures for the 500 yearly residents of the International Village student apartment complex to improve student satisfaction and experience.  Coordinates and adjudicates conduct meetings for international and domestic students residing in on-campus housing, ensuring that conduct measures are community focused rather than punitive. Recruits, trains, and manages student staff team for culture shaping and community management. Serves as on-call support for residence hall crisis response team, providing assistance on crisis matters such as alcohol and drug abuse, sexual assault, mental health concerns, and community disagreements.Admissions Updated admissions process for pathway programs to increase conversion from applicants to enrolled students, while reducing application processing time by more than fifty percent. Assesses student aptitude for pathway programs, including calculation of GPA and assessment of English language mastery, and determines student placement for Admissions Preparation or University Transfer Program.  Processes application and acceptance documentation for international education programs.Immigration Advising Serves as Designated School Official (DSO) to create and maintain student records in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) and independently monitor student immigration records. Provides immigration advising to F-1 Visa students to ensure students are aware of the requirements to maintain their immigration status.

Graduate Hall Director of Phelps Residence Hall. Created staff development modules to set standards for student safety, education, and engagement and establish benchmark goals to monitor changes in student experience and residence hall atmosphere. Supervised a staff of ten student workers focused on community programming activities and crisis response relating to concerns such as disasters, assault, and mental health concerns. Developed Employee Resource Groups/Affinity Groups for the Eastern Michigan University Housing Department to focus on the identity-salient needs of marginalized staff members in response to bias incidents.

Committee within EMU Housing and Residence Life, focused on revamping the Fall Opening Process to be consistent with Departmental ability and expectations regarding safety, customer service, and security.

 Coordinated bi-weekly events to promote retention and matriculation of the Black female student population, including focus on the personal and academic development of the students. Developed opportunities for the Sisterhood Scholar’s 40 student cohort to engage in bonding activities, community and career development, and racial and ethnic identity focused learning. Created opportunities for the Sisterhood cohort to obtain additional academic resources and create mentor relationships with faculty in order to establish a strong foundation for academic performance. Served as a member of a multi-department team to develop, coordinate, and host the Seat At The Table and Reclaiming Our Time leadership conferences for women of color at EMU.

• Communicated with camp directors and site managers to coordinate the logistics of summer camps and conferences, maintaining health and safety protocols and ensuring positive customer experience.• Supervised 11 student staff in order to facilitate the check-in and check-out proceedings for summer conferences varying in guest size from fewer than 10 to more than 300. • Provided on-site crisis response to conferences during stay, maintaining and completing necessary financial, safety, and booking paperwork to ensure that conference billing was completed properly. • Created and facilitated welcome orientations for international summer conference guests.

Coordinated, maintained, and further developed the Cal Poly Soup and Substance series regarding current events and student awareness.Served as the senior student assistant on a diverse team to plan, coordinate and host student events and services.Researched data on underrepresented communities and issues relevant to student needs in order to serve and educate the student community.Developed and carried out organizational plans in order to increase student engagement.Developed presentations regarding student and citizenship rights and legal protections.Acted as liaison between student activists of the SLO Solidarity movement and the staff of the Cross Cultural Centers.

Campaigned for further inclusion and supportive services for historically disenfranchised student populations to be included in the twenty year university Master Plan. Corresponded with senior administrators and community members to better improve Campus Life for the benefit of the overall community.Assisted in development of several construction guidelines and maps to plan for future growth of the university.

 Developed and Coordinated the Cal Poly Soup and Substance DEI Programs series to provide education spaces focused on the impact of current events on the minoritized members of the campus community. Created workshops and presentations on subjects such as marriage equality, trans rights, solidarity between marginalized communities, police brutality, and the impact of systemic oppression.  Educated the wider campus community on issues relevant to the experience of minoritized students.  Served as the liaison between student activist organization SLO Solidarity and the Dean of Student’s office to create action paths for students to achieve desired campus changes.  Developed a weekly dialogue series for affinity groups for the Cross Cultural Centers’ Pride Center and Multicultural Center student populations.
