Hello! My name is Kieran Decker and I am an Alumni at Sacramento State University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Computer Engineering. With my degree, I hope to pursue a career in information technology and/or cybersecurity because of my gravitation toward troubleshooting and problem-solving in all areas of technology. With the knowledge that college has provided me, I hope to apply my experience in both software and hardware to help assist with daily technology operations maintenance for your company. Some technical skills I possess include an extensive knowledge of networks, hardware troubleshooting, past experience with different forms of web programming and scripting (React, HTML, Javascript) as well as fluency in various coding languages (Assembly, Java, C). In addition, my past occupations as well as my time as a student have helped me to develop more interpersonal and soft skills such as customer support, critical thinking, clear communication, and a quickness to adapt. With exploring a career in information technology, I would love to continue developing my skills further and ultimately learn more about the field, while also potentially finding intersections of IT with cybersecurity and cloud engineering as that would be a career goal of mine.I hope to begin navigating the technology industry and its expanding field once I finish college.
