• Daily management and reporting of Symantec BackupExec 2012 R2, ShadowProtect and Microsoft shadowcopy backup solutions• Monitoring and responding to virus threat alerts from Vipre Enterprise Antivirus including manual removal of rootkits, malware, trojans, etc. Automated and manual definition updates• Resolving level 1,2 and 3 helpdesk calls via Autotask ticketing including detailed annotation and time keeping• Remote desktop support using RDP, Remote Desktop Manager, VnC, LogMeIn and TeamViewer• Client site attendance for BAU support and hardware installation whilst maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and an open, friendly presence • Remote real time server health and performance monitoring leveraging Continuum agents• Remote hardware support via Dell Remote Access Tool (DRAC) or HP Integrated Lights Out (iLO) in case of loss of normal server connectivity• SNMP network monitoring via PRTG and rapid break fix response • Managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange 2010 and 2013 mail flow, distribution lists, user mailboxes and spam filtering. Working knowledge of Postini, Symantec Brightmail and several other mail gateway protection systems• PowerShell scripting for automating simple elements of the IT environment such as mailbox creation, computer renaming, SOE setup and logon processes• Lodgment, timely replacement and subsequent configuration of faulty mission critical hardware including but not limited to Fortinet firewalls, HP switches and Dell PowerEdge server components• Liaise with a wide range of software vendor support teams e.g. MapInfo 11, ArcGIS and MailSite to resolve complex issues• Firmware update and initial configuration of Dell PowerEdge rack server hardware including best practices RAID storage implementation

• Build and deploy HP desktops and laptops with SOE. Machines built using Windows Deployment Systems in concert with SCCM 2007 • Maintain and update SOE for every supported computer hardware model with correct client software and patches• Onsite support for BAU service desk tickets and planned hardware maintenance/upgrades• Collection of performance statistics for monthly client reports• Time keeping of all support tickets including working within strict SLAs• Configuration of SonicWALL network firewalls• All aspects of windows XP and windows 7 troubleshooting • Resolving software and hardware issues for HP DesignJet printers and plotters deployed at client sites• Installation and testing of SonicWALL wireless access points utilising PoE injection
