HTML, JS & CSSDuring my time as API Support at Codeweavers, I created a “Quick Start Guide” website using vanilla HTML, JS & CSS to onboard new clients. The website guides users on how to implement the HTML/JS plugin and integrate the APIs. React JS & React NativeAs a personal project to dive into React, I developed a Pokedex app, using a design from Figma and a Pokemon data API (PokeAPI). Developing the app helped me understand how to use components, props, states and other React features.From that, I also created my portfolio website (https://kieranmacgough.github.io/), using React, TypeScript and the Mantine UI library.EducationBeing self-taught, I have sought out online courses to learn coding. So far, I have completed Scrimba’s free React course and I am currently working through the CS50x Web course, which covers Django, Python, Git, SQL, Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.

Job RoleAfter a year as a computer technician for AWD-IT, a team leader role opened up with the warehouse team. In this role, I am in charge of a small team of 2, picking the PC parts for the Computer Technicians to build. I ensure that we have adequate stock at our main warehouse, and liaise with upper-management to get the PCs out within the allotted time-frames and resolve any issues the pick team may have.Accomplishments- Improved communication by moving key information from Skype chats to shared Google Sheets.- Improved the picking workflow using Google Sheets.- Created Linnworks SQL queries to better assist with stock levels across all warehouses.- Trained new and existing staff to pick more efficiently without increasing workload.
