To provide and manage a caretaking service within allocated Police Scotland buildings as required by undertaking various tasks as directed by the Facilities Officer, which may include, but not be limited to, maintenance, porterage, cleaning and general security duties to ensure a safe and secure working environment for staff and the public. Organising Caretakers job, training, uniform, allocating holidays and monitoring caretakers performance.

The main duties for this post include responding to queries from tenants, members of the public and other internal/external partners, responding to calls to the emergency repair line, liaising with tradespersons, record keeping, report writing, security patrols, monitoring CCTV, cleaning and reporting repairs.

Duties can vary between loading/unloading machines, hands on heavy lifting and using sharp tools to cut materials to size. Getting materials from the warehouse to the material checkers and moving materials around the shop floor to the allocated spaces for other departments to carry out work.

Supervise employees, mail/small parcel processing, quality process, and transportation in accordance with DHL eCommerce policies and procedures to obtain optimal quality and profitability in the assigned departments.
