A communications advisor with a particular focus on sport, I have been the GPA’s Head of Communications since November 2019 working on behalf of inter-county players. Prior to joining the GPA I worked with global CEO advisory company Teneo where I progressed to Director level working in the sports communications and sponsorship industry. During my 5 1/2 years with Teneo I worked with multiple leading sports organisations and rights holders including the GAA, LGFA, Camogie Association, Sport Ireland, Paralympics Ireland, Leinster Rugby, Munster Rugby and the IRFU. I also worked with multiple sponsors playing a lead role in AIG’s sponsorship of Dublin GAA, Bord Gáis Energy’s sponsorship of hurling and Air Lingus’ sponsorship of the IRFU. I also experienced pure sports PR while working with Setanta Sports/eir sports and was heavily involved in the rebrand roll out. I also developed and headed up Teneo’s coaching and media training offering. Prior to joining Teneo I worked in sports broadcasting with RedFM, Chorus Mutli-Channel, TV3, eir sports and Sky Sports for over 10 years. I was TV3’s Gaelic Games Correspondent for 6 years. I'm a former member of the GAA's National Communications Committee and a former Chairman of the Gaelic Writers' Association.
