I started my apprenticeship in machining 2013 at Ensinger EPE. I spent a year learning about the manual turning and milling machine and achieved a level 3 NVQ in manual machining, also studying at bridgend college to achieved my BTEC level 3 in mechanical engineering. I then moved in the quality assurance department, where I began to learn about inspection and the processes involved, all the while spending time on a 4 axis CNC turning machine to achieve my level 3 NVQ in CNC turning. I continued to work in quality assurance and achieved my level 3 NVQ. In my third year I started my HNC in mechanical engineering and achieved the qualification in 2017. In my last year of my apprenticeship I began studying at the open university and am currently working toward a degree in engineering. During my time at Ensinger EPE, I have obtained many workplace qualifications as listed;•Certified PCDMIS CNC CMM setter and operator.•Certified Aberlink CNC CMM setter and operator.•Internal auditor ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 13485.•Lead auditor ISO 13485•Vertex setter and operator.
