I’m a third-year student at the University of Exeter, studying Mathematics with Economics. I have a deep passion for economics and financial markets, especially in understanding how mathematics and data can be used to analyse and explain economic theories and shifts in trends. I thrive in high pressure environments where qualities like leadership, resilience, communication, and the ability to self-evaluate are crucial. I value learning from constructive criticism and constantly seek opportunities to grow and improve in these challenging situations. I also enjoy engaging in debates where diverse opinions are explored, as I believe this collaborative approach is key to finding optimal solutions and deeper insights into complex financial issues. Outside of my studies, I am passionate about sports and play football and golf regularly. Alongside playing sports, I am a qualified football referee with experience in county level football and love the challenge of dealing with high stake decisions quickly and effectively, making sure all parties involved are treated with respect and fairness. In addition, I’m a self-taught drummer, which allows me to explore my creative side and demonstrates my dedication to learning new skills independently.

  After completing a refereeing course where I was honoured with receiving an award for best newcomer, I now officiate at county level grassroot football. By undertaking the task of refereeing, I believe it has significantly sharpened my communication skills allowing me to confidently handle high pressure situations in a calm and controlled manner by interacting effectively with players, managers and other officials. In addition, it has enabled me to develop resilience and the ability for self-feedback as I strive for excellence in my work. It has taught me to be open for feedback and constructive criticism, and how to utilise this information to better myself in order to help me to maintain fairness and composure on the field in challenging situations.
