The largest privately owned proprietary trading firm in Australia started in 2005 turning over more than $1b annually. 200 traders globally over multiple sites.Brought on as a consultant when the business was first started, built the IT function to a growth enabling unit through BI and high availability systems. Developed and executed IT projects with responsibility for a $2m budget, 2 managers, and a geographically dispersed staff of 7. Ensured ultra-low latency trading standards and high-availability through fault tolerance and business continuity.Achieved successful, on-time, and on-budget implementations of proprietary software development project (ProDesk), enabling the business risk functions to manage more traders with less Risk Managers.Key Contributions and Achievements:• Supported a 5-fold increase in traders with no additional requirements for IT or Risk Management staff. ProDesk was a system designed internally by leveraging the output of 4 major products and creating real time insights to trader behaviour.• Collaborated with traders and developers to implement proprietary Order Management software resulting in greater position against competitors spending exceptionally more.• Oversaw the selection and deployment of cloud based SaaS communications, reducing IT maintenance by $30,000 per year.• Designed, mentored, and supported a 24x7x365 IT department in a high-pressure environment with very low staff attrition.

The grower funded governing body of the Cotton Industry.Responsibilities;• Provide network management services for 25 users (15 remote).• Provide advice to CEO and CFO about technical solutions for a mobile workforce.Achievements;• Assisted management in the reduction of central staff and increase in mobile workers.• Transition upgraded network infrastructure twice in extended life cycles of six years.• Recently completed a complete network upgrade and Sharepoint Deployment with no downtime.
