Having grown up in the beautiful county of Cornwall, I have had the fortune to see incredible landscapes, seascapes, sunrises and sunsets.With seven years of being a Professional Photographer in Cornwall under my belt, I bring dedication and creativity to my work, as well as a determination to create something that has never been seen before.For me, photography is not simply capturing  what is laid out in front of you, it is capturing what is not in front of you, a unique perspective that shows the true personality of the subject. To put it another way, it is not just seeing what is beautiful, it is understanding why it is beautiful and knowing how to best get that mood and feeling across on to electronic equipment.After earning a degree in Video Production and gaining three years of experience in the film industry in London, KBrimson Photography was created.Kbrimson Photography has and continues to grow in many fields, from fine art prints, to commercial photography and video.I have worked for companies such as Carbis Bay Hotel, Trenance Chocolate, Motobility and more, providing a high quality service, and a warm and friendly approach, working with my clients to get the results they require in a creative and eye catching way.

My job role is split into two, as a photographer I share responsibility along with two other photographers to capture images of the dawn, regardless of the weather, 365 days a year. Each season brings a fresh challenge, in the summer it is the early starts (I start work at 3:45am in June!) and in the winter it is the cold, wind and rain.As an Operations Manager, I am in charge all of the day-to-day tasks that are essential to the company.Regardless of the photographer, I select, edit and upload all photographs to the website ready for purchase.I am in charge of printing and framing every photograph that is ordered and it is my responsibility to track each one and dispatch them in a timely fashion.Other tasks including managing our Not On The High Street account, social media, answering phones, blog writing and general admin.

Liaised with clients about photo album designs and photo selections for videos, albums, installations and fine art pieces. I also retouched and edited photos ready for to be pasted onto editors or the design team. Provided quality control on all editors work. Designed and created DVD menus, covers and sleeves. Produced reports to other members of staff regarding meetings and client preferences.I also provided general admin such as answering phones, keeping up to date on levels of stock and sending out the post. There was also lifting and carrying of many large and heavy objects to and from storage rooms.During this time I learnt how to manage clients and how to stay in contact with them to keep a project moving forward. I gained further experience of being part of a team and attended daily meetings to report back on project progress.

In a freelancing position, I would go to production and edit companies in and around London when they were busier than usual or understaffed.It was my job to integrate myself into the team on very short notice and assist with whatever task they needed. This ranged from hospitality toward guests and clients, to couriering media to helping set up sets and props.This allowed me access to many different companies to see what differences and similarities they had when approaching their work.

I prepared the studio before filming by setting up cameras and arranging sets. During the live shows I would camera operate and assist with communications between the studio and the director’s gallery via headset.This gave me a great opportunity to work under the pressures of a live television show and proved that I worked very well under pressure, and was able to take my own initiative to overcome any potential problems.
