I am responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of our robust information security governance framework. I am able to bring my expertise in IT infrastructure, risk management and security solutions to bear on variety of requests and requirements of our clients. Key responsibilities include monitoring governance compliance, managing vulnerability assessments, and Leading internal teams in Incident Response & Remediation. I work closely with the Head of Security to propose and present security solutions to clients, ensuring our departmental documentation is up-to-date and relevant. I bring my strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure, which have been essential for my success in this role. I am also able to push initiatives, improving teamwork and breaking down silos across the business.In addition to my Governance responsibilities, I also perform a Business Intelligence function for the Security department, analysing data to provide visual insights into performance and helping plan and budget our resources effectively. I also manage our project portfolio of between 30 and 40 projects in line with PRINCE2 best practices, supporting the team to achieve milestones and meet deadlines.Over the last 2 years I have also have the privilege to mentor 4 apprentices across multiple courses. Seeing them grow and develop has been incredibly rewarding!

As an IT Project Engineer, I was responsible for designing, building, and deploying IT infrastructure solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud. My role involved a wide variety of different tasks reflecting our the diverse needs of our clients. This included (but is not limited to) auditing client systems and configurations, configuring and setting up servers, establishing and managing networking solutions, and implementing robust backup systems. I worked closely with clients to ensure their infrastructure met strategic business requirements, providing end-to-end support from project planning through to execution. My work required strong technical expertise, but even more important was the ability to pick up new knowledge and skills quickly. Effective project management and delivery were essential requirements for this role, alongside a commitment to delivering reliable, secure, and scalable IT solutions.

As an IT Service Desk Engineer for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the biotechnology sector, I provided comprehensive support for a diverse range of specialised systems. My role required in-depth technical troubleshooting, documenting processes and solutions, and continuously improving service delivery - all while communicating effectively with end-users and other stakeholders. I learned a lot and became well-versed in adapting to new technologies. Later in my tenure I was able to contribute to team development, serving as an escalation point for complex issues.
