TV production for National Geographic as the VFX Editor based in London.I am creating animatics to tell the story for client review before proceeding with supply & demand to the venders, essentially working on a rough mockup of potential graphics/styles to be used in the final production. I am using storyboards to create a sequence of events from concepts provided to help tell the story and potential layout of these shots to be replicated by venders using Matte paintings in 2D or 3D. I am liaising with the venders editorial sending material for their artists, checking through the edit marking up changes and informing the venders if a significant change has occurred in the cut.I am working closely with in-house VFX Artists, production teams and VFX Supervisors to ensure material is ready and accurate for review whenever needed.I am ensuring that all venders keep to the guidelines laid out for delivery spec and downloading all material from relevant FTP/Aspera servers, pulling the material into AVID and placing in the relevant holding bins before either cutting in (if requested by the editor) or passing to the Editorial dept for review.When requested, I am sending base line projects to the NY Edit with any relevant material for them to drop into their edits and/or sending through the material approved to be sent and added to the edit.
