I provided analysis of EU legislative proposals and domestic policy items and provision of briefing material and recommendations to the Committee. The role also involved research and drafting of reports on behalf of the Committee. Other duties include drafting and provision of briefing materials to the Committee in relation to estimated expenditure and mid-year expenditure reviews of the Department.In the period of September 2014 to August 2016 I was the Policy Adviser to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation. This role was similar in nature to that in the Joint Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Marine; notwithstanding clear differences in relation to the sectoral policy involved.
