Kiera Rice Email and Phone Number
Life seems to just be getting started for me. After graduating high school in 2003, I enrolled in Santa Monica College's Esthetician program that took me four years to complete. I practiced doing facials during the 2008 recession and became discouraged with the inconsistency of the schedule and income. I went on to work at Wholefoods Market in the Whole Body department in 2011 and worked full time up until 2017. On and off during the years I had taken courses at SMC but did not have an idea of the major I was interested in. During that time I had my first child in 2013. In 2017, I had my second child and changed my status to seasonal at Wholefoods because it worked for our family that I stay home with the kids. The agreement with Wholefoods was that I would help when shifts needed coverage and be available for inventory. After stepping back in status from Wholefoods, I decided to re-enroll at Santa Monica College, as well as enroll at IPSB Life Energy Institute in the Massage Therapy Program. The massage program took about one year and I completed it in 2019. I continued to take courses at SMC of interest that mainly involved Business. As I got to the point of exceeding the maximum units, I had to make a choice. I sat with a Counselor and came to find out that I was only five classes away from an AA in Business with a few Certificates of Achievement, so I went for it. Summer 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, I got hired to be a Sugarist at sugaringLA. As of today, my main roll is Mommy. That journey so far has been beyond a wonderful experience with all kinds of stories that I love and so proud to share. Things like pregnancy, home births, natural products, healthy foods and lifestyle. Because of the pandemic, massage has been on hold most of the last year, but it is all in the works and will be needed more than ever. Sugaring hair removal has been my goal to train in for some time now, I absolutely love every aspect of the product, service and company I work for and am so delighted to call myself a Sugarist. The beginning of 2021 I had to say goodbye to Wholefoods which was so bitter sweet. My plans moving forward are to continue my education utilizing my Esthetician License and Massage Therapy certificate with other modalities and services.I have since complete my AA in Business with Certificates of Achievements in Entrepreneurship and Marketing and finishing a Certificate of Achievement in Sales and Promotion.
