Responsible for IT management within the financial services division of MFI Retail Ltd, a leading £650m+ t/o business, including systems, infrastructure, applications & business-critical support services for internal staff• Appointed to ensure the ongoing alignment of IT / technology solutions with core business requirements• Focused on controlling systems supporting sale and management of extended warranty / finance sales• Provision of critical IT services to a 40+ seat call centre, 55+ field-based staff & 300+ 3rd party agents• Delivery of enhanced IT services and technology within a business with 3500+ staff across 200+ stores• Reported directly to the Financial Director, with dotted-line responsibility to the IT Director within MFI• Leadership of a team of 5+ direct reports, in addition to utilising ad-hoc IT resources of up to 80+ staff• Monitored operational performance, systems capacity, budgetary controls, SLAs & internal KPI metrics• Controlled technical support, help desk facilities, planned maintenance & technology upgrade initiatives• Ensured ongoing compliance with strict quality, data protection, best practice & governance standards• Recruitment, appraisal, training, development and coaching of key business support staff & personnel• Led specification, design and deployment of an intranet-based on-line credit system, linked to lenders• Introduced new technology to provide rapid consumer credit decisions, providing £2m+ credit per day• Supported a 2 year plan to relocate and migrate all localised data centres to a single facility in the US• Established robust, secure and fully-audited data-integration solutions for the sharing of consumer data• Led the development of procedures, standards and guidelines for the delivery of critical IT/IS services• Worked closely with administrators, supporting wind-down of group and migration of MFI data / systems
