Swoop is our new automated brand monitoring platform for designers, manufacturers and retailers, the first of its kind to be made publicly available. The powerful software enables any brand, large or small, anywhere in the world, to understand and take action in real-time against online infringement, thereby protecting revenue, reputation and ultimately protecting the consumer.Swoop detects counterfeit and copycat products on the world’s busiest online platforms including Alibaba, Amazon and eBay. Any links to infringing products flagged by Swoop are reported for removal using copyright or registered trademarks and design rights and are then removed either by the brand or by the expert SnapDragon team.My duties include:• Ownership of Swoop, from collaborative design of product features and technical design, through to completion• Managing the product roadmap via collection and compilation of user stories from both internal and external stakeholders• Prioritising and managing the product backlog• Prioritising and managing change requests against potential for additional delivered value• Identifying and implementing improvements in data structure, maintenance and delivery• Developing, negotiating and signing off on sprint plans• Participating in product planning sessions with the development team• Ensuring the integrity of data through robust, creative and sustainable quality control methods• Managing, where necessary, additional sources of expertise such as for UI and UX within Swoop• Working closely with the marketing team on the SnapDragon website to enable best use to be made of it to support marketing activities and client interactions.

My role in Vehnet is to manage and own several product components from design to completion. I also provide the vital link between our development capacity and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks for our software product’s features.My main duties include:• Leading the product team to define the product roadmap.• Recommending solutions based on the needs and requirements of the business and product.• Ensuring product requirements are met in a timely manner.• Full lifecycle project involvement. Sentronex split into two companies in August 2015 and I joined SNX Systems as Product Manager. Since then, I have successfully delivered several major releases, while maintaining important customer relationships and developing two of the company's main software products.Whether the analysis has been provided by myself or another, I have taken it and developed a roadmap for the product. The technical specifications are then broken down and a backlog of features, epics, stories and tasks created. I then work closely with the development team throughout the agile process, maintaining ownership of the roadmap and backlog while prioritising sprint items and negotiating technical hurdles. I facilitate meetings and plan releases while always ensuring that the vision is realised accordingly. I believe that my ability to see the product from both a business and technical view is fundamental to the success of the project.

I joined Sentronex as Product Manager in 2014 when it acquired Factonomy. I worked to incorporate the Factonomy properties into the new software offerings for Sentronex and have been integral in both the transition and championing these new offerings within the existing client base.We developed our existing BCP application further and created an intelligent, data-mining CRM application, dubbed Client Intelligence. I developed the specifications for both, collaborated with clients, chaired demonstrations and maintained the roadmap from concept through to successful delivery.The basis of every good development project is the analysis and planning carried out with the client. As such, I make working closely with my client stakeholder a priority and have developed these relationships in order to form interpersonal bonds, making the process of determining scope, goals and objectives that much easier.

I started with Factonomy as a Developer when the company consisted of only four. I was therefore integral in creating the foundations on which we based the company as it more than quadrupled in size. I developed many different projects for our client base over the years and, as our development team grew, I began overseeing the development of all projects.During my time as Development Manager I implemented stricter processes and coding practices while encouraging the use of agile methodologies and enabling my developers to fully realise our goals. We developed for small companies, governmental agencies and large financial institutions as I developed my understanding of client relations and corporate politics. Through the efficient coordination of established processes and motivational techniques I was able to nurture a team dynamic that would see us deliver some excellent products.Although our software was designed as a rapid application development framework, it was clear that productising aspects of the system was important to generate interest in what the platform could do. As such, we found a niche developing Business Continuity Planning applications for major financial institutions, including JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs, and that formed the backbone of our cash flow for years to come. This meant I gained significant experience and a greatly developed understanding of the area, covering concepts such as Impact Analysis, Scenario/Strategy Management, Dependencies, Scenario Modelling, Incident Management, Testing and Disaster Recovery.

Although my time with the NHS was short-lived, I again took ownership of a key project and worked with Delphi and SQL Server to revise a data-collection utility used by nurses throughout NHS Scotland. I worked with a team of stakeholders and began to develop the analysis and planning skills that would serve me throughout the rest of my career.

I joined this company following university and spent my time applying AI principles to deduplication and data cleansing. Working with Visual Foxpro, Delphi, Microsoft Access and SQL Server, I developed intelligent data matching algorithms and data mining techniques to enhance our market-leading offering. I also assisted in the migration of the core software from legacy technologies. During my tenure I took ownership of a number of different focus areas, including our website, which I redeveloped to include an interactive customer portal.
