As part of the Stanford Neurological Assessment Platform (SNAP) project, I am collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop an innovative, patient-friendly neurological assessment kit integrated with a telemedicine platform. I work with the sensation unit, developing technological assessments for the nervous system’s ability to perceive and interpret sensory stimuli, including touch, pain, temperature, vibration, proprioception, and two-point discrimination.My role includes:- Designing and integrating sensors and hardware (e.g., Bluetooth modules, accelerometers, force sensors, solenoids) to collect patient data remotely.- Programming and managing embedded systems for real-time signal processing and data acquisition, utilizing platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.- Developing and optimizing code in Python for accurate data analysis and communication within the telemedicine framework.

The LSPxSOAR Mathematics Program is a 1-unit online summer course for incoming Stanford first year students. It is aimed at helping students feel prepared to take math courses at Stanford -- in particular, Math 19 and 20 (the first two quarters of single-variable calculus). It also provides community building opportunities for first generation and/or low-income students.

During the Summer Immersion Program, I had the incredible opportunity to delve into the world of coding, web development, and computer science alongside other girls. Through hands-on projects, collaboration with industry professionals, and exposure to knowledgeable mentors, I honed my skills and discovered my passion for solving problems through computer science. By the close of the program, I coded three websites and a Buzzfeed-style quiz, met with CNA cybersecurity experts, and received professional advice from renowned entrepreneurs.
