As a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, I earned my bachelor's degree in African Studies and English Literature with a 3.3 GPA. I was honoured with two African Studies Leadership and Community Awards, recognizing my commitment to social justice and community engagement. As well as the Dream Maker Realty/Olowolafe Family Scholarship Award. Through my coursework and projects, I developed strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills, along with a deep understanding of the historical and contemporary issues facing the African and African-North American diaspora. In addition to my academic achievements, I have gained valuable practical experience in customer service, administration, and human resources through my previous roles. Recently, I worked as an HR Assistant at CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals, a non-profit organization that provides career development and mentorship for marginalized youth. There, I managed administrative tasks, created inventory spreadsheets, and built a research databank to support the organization's programs and initiatives.Prior to that, I was a Senior Business Enquiries Agent and Training Facilitator at the CRA, where I handled complex customer inquiries, delivered training sessions, and mentored new agents. These experiences have honed my communication, facilitation, and customer relationship management skills in fast-paced and diverse team environments. This year, I have embarked on an exciting entrepreneurial journey by developing my business, Koko's Boite. Koko's Boite is a wellness and health brand that aims to become a one-stop shop for all things health, wellness, and lifestyle. We offer virtual meal preps, workouts, training, and innovative activewear collections. I am proud to be working with organizations like Futurpreneur, specifically their programs for Black Entrepreneurs, to scale up my business and bring my vision to life.My goal is to leverage my education and experience to contribute to positive social change and empowerment, both through my professional roles and entrepreneurial endeavours. I am always eager to learn and grow, and I look forward to making a meaningful impact in the communities I serve.
