I am a Junior Mathematics and Statistics major, Business Analytics and Actuarial Science minor, and Honors College Student at Miami University Farmer school of Business, seeking internship opportunities for the summer of 2024 in the Columbus, OH area. As a student in Statistics and Business Analytics, classes at Miami have given me proficiency in Python, SQL, R and Microsoft Excel and Access. With classes such as Calculus I, Calculus II, micro and macroeconomics, statistics, business analytics, applied regression, business programming, database systems, and financial accounting, I have strong analytical and quantitative skills. My communication skills have been tested in classes like business communications, as well as art history. Additionally, I have worked creatively through art classes, entrepreneurship and innovation classes and opportunities, and the photography collective at Miami. In the future, my goal is to become an actuary, so I have become a member of the Actuarial Science Club to continue to grow my knowledge.For my work experience, I have mainly worked as a lifeguard for the past 5 years, often holding more than one job at a time and balancing work for up to 3 locations. As a lifeguard, we were in charge of keeping the pool running and clean, cleaning the facility, managing patrons, in addition to life-guarding and holding rotations. The summer of 2022, I also worked at American Eagle Outfitters as a brand ambassador where we directly influenced customers through customer service. This job pushed me out of my comfort zone because of the huge emphasis on customer engagement. The Client Challenge at Miami University in the Spring of 2023 also helped me grow in a similar way. Through working with a team of 4, creating a solution, and presenting our research, we learned how to work with teammates and become more confident in trying and changing ideas, allowing us to achieve a strong grade for our work.This semester I am studying abroad in Luxembourg, where I am also working an internship with EcoCitizen during my time there. I am currently looking for an internship during the summer of 2025 to continue my growth as a student and a professional.
